THE HIRER AGREES TO HIRE A VEHICLE ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
THE HIRER AGREES THAT
1 Driver Licencing
Drivers must have the appropriate Australian licence to drive the vehicle as required by law. A copy of the licence is required.
No P-Plate or L-Plate drivers are allowed.
Fully licenced for a minimum of 2 years
LR or above driver’s licence required for buses with more than 12 seats
That neither he/she nor anyone else who drives the vehicle is under 21 years of age or 80 years of age and over
For International licence drivers, special additional conditions apply. See below
He/she or any other driver who operates the vehicle will only do so if permitted by law.
The vehicle will not be used for any illegal purpose or carry more passengers or load than that for which it was designed.
That he/she has told the owner accurately what the vehicle will be used for and where it will be going. Excess charges apply otherwise.
2 Security Bond
A credit card security bond of $550 applies to all vehicles
For drivers with international licences, a $1000 credit card security bond applies to all vehicles
Only a Visa or Mastercard credit card security bond is acceptable. No AMEX or Cash
3 Damage Excess
Damage excess per incident: 20+ seat buses $3000, All other vehicles $550
For drivers with international licences, a damage excess per incident of $3000 applies to all vehicles
The damage excess cannot be reduced
An administration fee applies on top of the damage excess to manage repairs. Minimum $110
The excess applies per vehicle on all accidental damage including windscreen/glass damage.
The hirer is responsible for total cost of repairs for:
overhead roof damage,
all tyre/wheel/snow chain damage,
damage caused on unsealed roads and
any damage otherwise caused whilst the vehicle was being used outside of the terms of this agreement.
The hirer is responsible for the total costof repairs for any damage caused by neglect, deliberately, maliciously or recklessly.
The vehicle must be driven on sealed roads at all times.
The customer may also be liable for demurrage in the event the vehicle is not available for normal hire as a consequence of damage or an accident
The hirer is responsible for the total cost of vehicle damage, third party property damage and bodily injury if the driver of the vehicle is under 21 years of age or over 80 years of age or driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited drugs
4 Cantys No Responsibility
Canty's Bus Rentals will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property stolen from the vehicle or otherwise lost during the rental period.
Canty's Bus Rentals give no warranties as to the condition of the vehicle except those implied by law and gives no warranties as to the suitability or fitness of the vehicle for any person
The hirer agrees to waive any claim for loss or damage occasioned to the hirer because of: delays, booking and service errors, mechanical failure of the vehicle, lost or stolen personal items, accidents or any other events
5 Hirer's Responsibility and Fees
No smoking, vaping or electronic cigarettes are permitted in vehicles. A minimum of $550 non-compliance fee will apply.
A refuelling fee of $3.50 per litre will be charged for refuelling part empty vehicle fuel tanks. Fuel gauge to read over F(ull). Refuel to the very top of the fuel tank due to foaming airlock
A reasonable cleaning fee may be charged if the vehicle is returned in an unclean state
Traffic infringements incur a minimum administration fee of $30
Vehicles must be returned during opening hours. Open Mon-Fri 7:30am to 4:30pm. A $200 out of hours return fee will apply.
Hire period is per 24 hours. Additional daily rates apply for vehicles returned late.
IMPORTANT: 21+ Seater Buses operate on 24 VoltsThe hirer is responsible for checking the suitability of connecting portable electrical/electronic devices, and non-Cantys vehicle trailers to vehicle power sources eg cigarette lighter sockets, trailer electrical sockets. The hirer agrees to waive any claim for damage or loss occasioned to the hirer for such devices used in/with the vehicle.
The hirer is responsible for the fitting and use of child seats and restraints to the vehicle.
The hirer is responsible for checking and maintaining engine oil and water levels and tyre pressure. Failure to do so will render the hirer responsible for any loss or damage
Callouts for non-breakdown service eg locked keys, lights left on, out of fuel & tyre repairs etc will incur an NRMA callout fee
6 Motorway Toll Charges
The hirer is responsible for all toll charges and toll administration fees (Cantys and Toll companies)
A $30.00 administration fee will apply to each motorway toll charge received by Canty’s Bus Rentals.
PREPAY MOTORWAY TOLLS to avoid administration fees. Eg Google Linkt "Sydney Pass" for details.
7 Cancellation
Cancellation notice: Minimum of 48 hours before the hire is required for a full refund else all payments are forfeited
No refunds or credits after a hire has started
Canty's Bus Rentals have the right to terminate this hire agreement and recover the hired vehicle at any time without a refund.
Offensive or unruly behaviour towards the other motorists or the general public will result in loss of security bond
8 Other
Buses are fitted with GPS tracking and electronic tachographs which monitor position and speed.
Banks etc will take a minimum of 3 to 5 business days to process credit card refunds into the customer’s bank account.
9 Non-negotiable
I hereby authorise Cantys Bus Rentals to charge vehicle damage, fuel, extra hire, toll, admin, cleaning fees, non-breakdown/tyre callouts etc to my credit card security bond
